YASSI HARIRINIA, PT, DPT, OCS, ITPT


Yassamin (Yassi) Haririnia received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2008 from the prestigious physical therapy program at the University of Southern California in after receiving her Bachelor of Health Science from the University of Miami in 2005, while majoring in Pre-Physical Therapy with a minor in both Sports Medicine and Chemistry.  Yassi has worked extensively in the outpatient orthopedic setting and has been recognized as a specialist having earned her Orthopedic Certified Specialist (OCS). Yassi also specializes in treating patients with concussion injuries and is a IMPACT Trained Physical Therapist (ITPT).

As an undergraduate, Yassi was recruited to Miami's Division 1 Women's Rowing Team on both an academic and athletic scholarship based on her achievements as Captain of her high school's rowing team in Virginia. She then went on to become Co-Captain of Miami's team, helping lead them to several medals including a gold medal at the FIRA Championships as well as silver at the BIG EAST Championships. Yassi graduated at the top of her class with honors and was awarded both an NCAA Women's Enhancement Postgraduate scholarship and an ACC Postgraduate scholarship. Upon arriving at USC, she continued her athletic path by joining and later becoming the Team in Training Captain of the East LA division, a Triathlon Fundraising program for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, competing in several triathlons including a Half Iron Man.  

Yassi currently specializes in treating patients with various orthopedic impairments, vestibular dysfunctions, concussion injuries, and neurological conditions that adversely affect balance and performance.  Yassi has received comprehensive training using the latest and most comprehensive balance technology available, the BERTEC Balance Advantage and its Computerized Dynamic Posturography (CDP), and the Bertec Vision Advantage systems.  She is the Senior PT and Director of Movement F1rst (M1) concussion and vestibular program, which is the only clinic in Southern California currently using this technology. She is also the Senior and Lead Physical Therapist at Seal Beach Physical Therapy, a sister clinic of M1.  It is together with Yassi’s knowledge of the latest in research and advanced technology that she is able ensure the best possible outcome for each of her patients.
